Theater Thursday

It's Thursday and that can only mean one thing around here... It's Theater Thursday! This week's featured movie is, Fever Pitch.

Fever Pitch stars, Jimmy Fallon as Ben, a huge Boston Red Sox fan and season ticket holder. He hasn't missed a home game since he was 7 years old. He's obsessed with the Sox and the season ticket holders around him are his summer family. Then he meets Lindsay (Drew Barrymore), a young executive who he starts to really care about. Lindsay doesn't know much about baseball so she's shocked to see how much he loves the game and team. When the games start to get in the way of their relationship she doesn't understand how he can pick the team and games over her. She tries to attend the games with Ben but it starts to wear on her.

When Ben tries to make a compromise and make more room in his life for Lindsay he starts to realize there is more to life than just baseball. Then one night, it all blows up in his face. He soon realizes he's going to have to make a permanent decision on which is more important in his life... baseball or a relationship. This movie also coincides with the 2004 Red Sox season. So if you follow baseball at all, then you already know some of the story line. Watch! It's a really cute movie.

Ok. I have to admit it. I don't know what it is but I've never been a huge Drew Barrymore fan. Now, before you go crazy and be like WHAT?! Hear me out. I enjoyed her in Ever After and thought that she was cute in Never Been Kissed. I've never seen Firestarter and it's been years since I've seen ET. But besides those movies, there hasn't been many I've watched with her in it. I think it's something she does with her mouth as she talks but it irks me. It carries over from her real life and interviews into her acting so I don't watch that many movies she is in. Now... Fever Pitch. I saw this movie because Beezy has turned it on at least 3 times in the past month when he sees it on tv. I thought this movie was really cute and is a good watch.

I never liked this film until recently, not sure why. I like her, but I know so many who don't and it is indeed the way she talks. Everyone I ask says something like "it's her mouth or how she moves" "her voice", "the way she talks", etc. It must be something. It is unique. Funny thing, that is exactly what I like about her. hahahahahahaha
