And we aren't talking about the bones....
At Christmas my Mom gifted me with this beautiful Fossil watch that I'd been eyeing for quite some time.
I loved it! I thought it was perfect. If you know me, then you know that I've always worn some cheap watch because I'd just never spent the money on a good one. Well I got this watch on Christmas day and wanted to wear it instantly everywhere. Sadly, I had to wait a couple of days because my wrists are small and it needed to have some links taken out.
Fast forward to this past Wednesday, I'm driving to work and I feel my watch moving around in my coat. I look down thinking that the clasp has came undone somehow and realize that it in fact has actually broke apart. I was in shock! I hadn't even worn it for a whole month. So I figure OK, no big deal, I'll just take it and have a link swapped back in for the broken one that meets the clasp. Um... wrong.
It couldn't be fixed. Apparently, where the band broke at the clasp it wasn't repairable. Are you kidding me? I hadn't worn the thing a month and now a watch that was 100 dollars wasn't fixable? The people were extremely nice though and they let me exchange it. However, they didn't have my exact same watch so I got this one...
Pretty right? Though, I do wish I had my black one back. I asked the sales girl if this happens a lot and she said no, that I must have got a lemon. She was also wearing my exact same watch in black on her wrist as she was telling me they couldn't get it in black. Hmm....

Wow that is such a bummer! At least they let you exchange it!
I've had 2 Fossil watches - the first one when I was a kid and I, of course, lost it. The second was a pocket watch that I had for forever but during all the moves I've been through its been misplaced.
Obviously I'm not meant to have watches.
Oh no!! I have a white one very similar to that and a silver one that I got over the summer. I love them both and had no problem with them, it must've been a lemon!! But if you ask me, she should've ordered a black one for you. Fossil can afford to keep their customers happy!!
What a bummer! I'm glad that the folks at Fossil were so easy to work with in exchanging it though!
What a bummer. I am glad they let you exchange it. My husband had a fossil watch a while ago and the clasp broke on it and they were unable to fix it. Oddly enough, he still has the watch. I love the white one, perfect for spring and summer.
ha! that sales girl knew what was up! I, personally, love a big chunky white watch, so i'm a little envious of yours!
Wow that stinks. My mom got me a white fossil watch for this christmas also. I love it and it also had gold detailing!
I love the white one!
Ugh, I hate that. I had a similar situation with my phone. We just got new cell phones, and brand new models. Mine futzed out after a week. I go back to the store to exchange it, and they didn't have my color. I know it's just a color, but I wanted the red one, dangit! So I drove all over the city trying to find the same phone in my color. It's a little thing, but you know.
That sucks! I would keep an eye out though I am sure a black one will be found somewhere.. Although I do like the white too
I ADORE white watches! I love that one girl!
i'm not a big fossil watch person just because i've had such bad luck with them!
awww crap! That's a big time bummer! I know you loved that watch so much. At least they were cool and let you exchange - I hope it grows on ya! :)
I love Fossil anything, especially the purses! Although the black watch was really pretty, I think I like the white better!
I dig it both ways, but I'd totally keep an eye out for the black (reads more casual to me)! :)
I have a watch similar to your black one and love it but I've been wanting a white one and I love yours!!!
Oh no! Maybe the black one will go on sale somewhere soon!
how sad!!! I'm so sorry to hear that your lovely watch broke, but I'm glad they got you something new...and what looks to be much more sturdy! even if its not your black one, it looks gorg on your wrist!
have a great sunday...so excited to read more from you!
if you have a chance, stop by my blog...I'm hosting a fun giveaway with your name all over it! xoxo {av}
Awww bummer! But I do like the white one!
nice watch! believe it or not I have never owned a watch. How sad is that? I'm dying to get one.
I like it better in white. I have a white watch and it's so old and crappy, but I get so many compliments all the time on it. I think white is more noticeable.
I really like the white one!
